Rose Munk Heiberg

Rose Munk Heiberg has a Masters degree in Ensemble Conducting from The Royal Danish Academy of Music. Furthermore she graduated in Musicology from the University of Copenhagen and in Percussion from Universidade Federal da Bahia, Brazil. Rose has studied privately with Maestros Emmanuel Siffert, Donald Schleicher and Larry Rachleff. In 2013 she was awarded a scholarship from The Danish Institute in Rome to study at Teatro dell’Opera di Roma with Maestro Pinchas Steinberg.

In the seasons of 2011-12 and 2013-14 Rose worked with the renowned theater Black/White in Copenhagen as the conductor of their musical performances. In 2014-16 Rose was the Principal Conductor of the Copenhagen Youth Symphony Orchestra. She was the Assistant Conductor and Choir Master for Operakompagniet in various performances in 2012-13 and in 2017 she has been their Principal Conductor in the production of Cavalleria Rusticana.

In the fall of 2015 she was the Assistant Conductor of the San Juan Symphony Orchestra in Argentina in the production of Die Fledermaus and was succesfully reinvited as Guest Conductor for 2016.

In 2017 Rose was selected to compete in the Blue Danube Opera Conducting Competition.
She conducted the Danish premiere of Titanic the Musical in the fall of 2017 with Teatret Gorgerne.

From 2018 Rose is appointed conductor of the orchestra of the University of Copenhagen SymUni and in 2018 she is furthermore invited to conduct the Cuenca Symphony Orchestra in Ecuador.

In 2019 she will conduct the performance Du holder jorden på plads with urban dance art and contemporary Danish music in a collaboration between The Danish Chamber Orchestra, Disturbing Business and Dansekapellet.
